Clergy

The Rev. Abigail Livingood, Rector

In July 2022, Abigail was ordained as a priest at Trinity Waterloo. Abigail and her husband, Doug, are empty nesters and moved here from Des Moines. Doug is a consulting actuary and he and Abigail grew up east of the Mississippi in Michigan and Kentucky before work took them to several locations on the east coast. They have now lived in Iowa longer than any other state.

Abigail graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and is also a Spiritual Director and an artist working primarily in fiber and metal.

Staff

Carrie Nieman, Preschool Director

I have been with Trinity as a lead preschool teacher since opening in 2006. I took over the director position in 2011 and have been so proud of the center that we have become.

I have a BA in Early Childhood Education along with a Reading Endorsement for K-8. I absolutely adore teaching and all the happy faces that greet me in the morning. It is amazing to see the impact that we have in the lives of our children and families at Trinity.
